It mixes with the intestinal contents and has the ability to absorb water. This remedy creates a soft, non-irritating filling (bulk) of the intestine, which improves bowel function. In this way, bowel movements are promoted.This remedy is used in cases of prolonged constipation (obstipation). Composition of Teva Psylliumvezels Orange Suikervrij 650 mg/g Granulaat: Each sachet of 5 g granules contains:Finely ground and granulated fibres of the plant Plantago ovata 3.25 gramsIngredients of Teva Psylliumvezels Orange Suikervrij 650 mg/g Granulaat: Finely ground and granulated fibres of the plant Plantago ovata, citric acid, sodium alginate, sodium chloride, saccharin sodium, sorbitol, trisodium citrate dihydrate, orange flavouring and the colouring agent beta-carotene (E160). Use of Teva Psylliumvezels Orange Suikervrij 650 mg/g Granulaat: Preferably mix the required amount with food, e.g. custard or yoghurt. It isrecommended to drink a glass of liquid at the same time. This remedy may also be mixed with milk or fruit juice. This mixture should be drunk immediately. It is also recommended to drink an additional glass of liquid at the same time.Dosage in adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 sachet once to three times daily.Dosage in children aged 6-12 years: 1 sachet twice a day.Dosage in children aged 2-6 years: On doctor's orders.Duration of treatment: You should not use this medicine for more than 14 days without consulting your doctor. This medicine changes the flow rate of the intestine and may affect the absorption of other medicines. Therefore, other medicines should be taken 1-2 hours before this medicine.
